The winery Tenuta Greppo Franco Biondi Santi dates back to 1800, when Ferruccio Biondi Santi created Brunello di Montalcino in the historic vineyard of Greppo. This family has the merit of having created this great wine, Brunello di Montalcino, with grapes sangiovese grosso BBS11, i.e. Brunello Biondi Santi 11, as per Royal Decree of the early postwar years.
